DaCosta - Hauser Wirth, Somerset, UK
Da Costa is one of ten brands by hospitality experts ArtFarm including Fife Arms Hotel in Braemar, Mount Street at The Audley Mayfair and Cantina in Menorca; based a little closer to home at Hauser Wirth in Bruton, Somerset.
Hauser Wirth is the world-renowned contemporary and modern art gallery destination offering exhibitions, educational programmes and publishing, as well as hosting the Roth Bar watering hole and Da Costa restaurant.
Housed in the former Roth Grill, Da Costa opened in the latter part of 2024 and serves up “earthy, homely food using Italian techniques and inspiration”. With vegetables, fruit and herbs grown in their own walled garden they work with the countryside and their menus “are changed by the seasons and led by availability”.
Hauser Wirth selected the beautiful Opaline Glass Globe Pendants as the main lighting scheme for DaCosta with the smaller white globe wall lights subtly complimenting the design from the side lines. Both lights are Trainspotters Classic Remakes taken from original 20c designs and lovingly remade to the same (or better) quality.
